A midst A.P Literature work and preparing to take my ACT test in about a week or two, I have been searching for volunteering opportunities online and I must say, it is harder than somebody would think. I have been looking for 3-4 days nonstop on volunteer search engines in which I qualify to volunteer for. It's really frustrating how one of the following happens:
• You either have to commit time , like 6 months,to one project and that's not me at all. I like variety and change and jobs that are about change and I am sorry but I can't possibly do that because my schedule changes so fast because I am transitioning from high school to graduate. I've been looking for a job and I have my eyes set on one job so far.
• The age requirements are usually 18 and it sucks that I'm only 17 and they also make it so hard sometimes to do ; there is a website that is started here in the city I live in by an organization and they allow teens to sign up for volunteer services and it displays the hours you've served or whatever on the website on your profile. The fact of the matter is that there was one SPECIFIC one I really wanted to do but you have to be 18 or have a parent sign a minor waiver form and my dad protested how he would not sign my rights away (which I understand) so THAT was out too.
I am very physically tired from just searching and reading over a lot of different websites for hours on end while talking to my lovely boyfriend which makes it better but I still am tired , SO exasperated!My head even hurts x-x.
